Lightening Up…
Now that this election is over it is definitely time to lighten up. Chris Mullick at the Tri-City Herald has a run down on what to be thankful for post election.
– The campaign “mailers” taking “excerpts” of “newspaper” stories “out” “of” context have “finally” stopped. (Olympia Dispatch blog, 11/10/06)
Oh Yeah… Think Snow!

Dude, I am *ALWAYS* thinking snow.
I can’t wait to go out and clomp around in it with Hubby and the dogs to find the perfect Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

You can say that again. This election is such a relief. I feel like I am comming out of a deep two year depression coma. It all started about 2 months before the 2004 election and I got caught up watching the 24 hour newscycle for about 15 hours a day while I wroked from home. It was painful to watch, and devestating to see Kerry lose.
Now I literally feel like a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders. I can get focused on work and life stuff, and begin to feel guardedly optimistic about the future again.
Although I feel much better now, I still recognize that the battle to 2008 is upon us and will take work.
I think the key will be effectively framing the successes the democrats achieve and not let people forget that they are the party that will turn this country around again.
And I look forward to dusting off the ol’ snowboard again.

We’ve only just begun, with the defeat of Richard Pombo by Jerry McNerney
(11th District California, near the Bay Area). Pombo is famous for proposing
the sale of 7 Nat’l Parks and renaming them along the line of “Quest Field”.
