This election is such a relief. I feel like I am comming out of a deep two year depression coma. It all started about 2 months before the 2004 election and I got caught up watching the 24 hour newscycle for about 15 hours a day while I wroked from home. It was painful to watch, and devestating to see Kerry lose. Now I literally feel like a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders. I can get focused on work and life stuff, and begin to feel guardedly optimistic about the future again. Although I feel much better now, I still recognize that the battle to 2008 is upon us and will take work. I think the key will be effectively framing the successes the democrats achieve and not let people forget that they are the party that will turn this country around again.
