Dino Rossi’s Idealog Bank
This has already been posted over on Horsesass and The Stranger’s Slog, but in case you missed it…
I know good republicans who find it hard to believe there are whack jobs like this in their party. And I know good republicans who know all about them (I also know a few whacked out Democrats). But this is the madness we all face. And it stands right next to Dino Rossi. Advising him. That is scary…

Any chance it was one of those public forums that anybody could speak and Rossi was moderator and being polite to the wingnut? Dude is whacked….on many levels…..but then he did seem to be Dixie’s guy back in the 70’s….so he’s a cross-aisle whackjob.

Cute editing.
Don’t worry, Wingnut: Bush will get his applause… as he walks out the back door of the White House.

Oh man, I remember the roar in this house when Dixie was gov.
No Matty, this guy has Dino’s back from what I hear. Could be off a bit but it makes good iTV.

The man has some good ideas if you play them start to finish. DDT would save millions from disease, doesn’t have to be used in huge clouds for mothers to send thier children out to play in.
Global warming in the Gore sense is a fraud and yes, a hoax. The sun is burning hotter than in the past few thousand years. The earth warms and the oceans release more CO2. We are coming out of a small ice age and perhaps heading into another.
Gov. Rossi would have cleaned up DSHS and many other things in this state, and also he wouldn’t have accepted the election had it been won for him the way it was won for Gregiore.
One more thing…
Be careful what you censor from free speech. Soon it may become your own.

Lou Guzzo is to the environmentalist movement what Milton Friedman was to economics. A measurabator who doesn’t have any appreciation for the qualitative analysis that goes into measures of the quality of life.
As for Dixie Lee Ray, before my time, but I do recall hearing that there was some controversy over the government’s anticipation of St. Helens eruption. Not to mention that this is her part of her explanation for the greenhouse gas effect.
To which my response is, duh. We have had ice ages, climate change and volcanic eruptions in the past. But that doesn’t mean that it is a precipitous phenomenon that can be adequately comprehended by skeptics in a few generations of quantitative study. But that is if you take strictly quantitative view, of which we can’t adequately understand the bounds of in terms the planetary scale of the issue. But if you look at things qualitatively then really you only have to look out at the atmospheric haze that hovers over the Issaquah plateau to understand that all is not right in the valley where all the cars drive to and fro.

Oh yes, DDT is wonderful, Jason, along with asbestos and CFCs and countless other wonders of the modern age. Is your motto “Better living through chemistry”, by any chance?

JIM,
Do you know what Dino Rossi’s view on Nuclear Energy is? I couldn’t find anything in his website.
Thank you.
