Well Hindu, I hear ya. But not everyone is a natural born game show host. There are plenty of congresscritters who can't carry a tune in front of a camera and frankly, I thought George did pretty good for a first shot.

I've done plenty of radio spots along with my long music "career" LOL. I gotta tell ya... it isn't easy at first be it camera's or crowds. Give George some time and he will be just fine. What I really like about it is that he isn't phony in any sense. Kinda refreshing! And George will make an excellent congressman.

How the heck are things going for you anyhow? All good I hope! We must get together, argue about politics.... and GOLF!

With all due respect to Mr. Fearing - I'm sure he is a good man - and this is coming from a conservative republican - get someone else to do the commercials.

He speaks so slow and goofy it sounds like he's speaking to a crowd of 1st graders and/or centenarians . Of course, I know he's used to speaking to Democrats so this should be expected, but in the general election he'll have to attract republicans and independents as well.

If he could get someone a bit more up-tempo to do the radio ads for him I think he'd have a chance, or at least a shot at carrying the N Richland Hanford-worker vote. Someone has to speak honestly to the guy. That should be you McCabe.

Not being critical - just trying to help.

[...] For the past 3 elections in Washington’s 4th Congressional District, Democrats have been gaining ground on Doc Hastings. From the dismal 34% of Craig Mason (no offense Craig) in 2002, the semi-well funded Sandy Matheson in 2004 with 37%, to the wildly underfunded 2006 Richard Wright campaign with 41% there is a serious trend in play and something to watch in 2008. With record Central Washington turnout in the 2008 Democratic Caucus, and the dismal performance of the WA GOP caucus, 2008 could very well be the year the 4th CD trends back to it’s Democratic roots. [...]
