What a Night!

November 4th, 2008 by Jimmy · 9 Comments

First of all, despite what I figured to be some groundbreaking gains in Central Washington it seems as so the nation goes, Eastern Washington runs the other way.  It’s a bit tragic in the sense that I feel we are being left behind in the past.  If anyone in this district who reads and thinks and still votes for say… John McCain… not to mention seemingly to happily re-elect Doc Hastings, isn’t understanding where the country will, and needs, to go next.  But then I understand that just as I don’t get them, they don’t get us or the world around them that is far ahead of the curve.

Other than some heartbreaking numbers here and there was also some incredible moments.  Watching Barack Obama earn this election was a special moment.  Before I hit the hay… here is some of those moments.

What an incredible moment.

    Looking at the map for the presidential race.:

    On that level, which is admitedly one meager measure, that’s not a correct statement.

    Nice Blog - I agree.

    I was dismayed when I saw the percentages here in EW for McCain vs Obama. *gag* What is going on here? I figure I am stuck right in the middle of enemy territory.

    What is it with the Doc thing? Even good friends I have, voted for Doc… do you think it’s the air? The water? I seem to be thinking clearly… maybe I’m immune to stupidity. hehe Well, not on all things, maybe just politics.

    Blah de blah de blah blah blah.

    You have your Hope and your Change. Good luck with that.

    Not to mention your typically Progressive, breathtaking arrogance:

    “I seem to be thinking clearly… maybe I’m immune to stupidity. hehe Well, not on all things, maybe just politics.”

    Um. . .yeah. Right. Yes on I-1000 too, right?

    Watch what happens, Jimmy, when you are old and decrepit and maybe wish to live another six months. . .but you are told you are a burden to your “loved ones” so you feel obligated to take the Pill.

    ” “In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;

    And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;

    And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;

    And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up.”

    That is why abortion is evil. That is why I-1000 is evil. And that is why I can correctly accuse your President Hope/Change -and you- of freely embracing evil.

    @3 Hoody

    Bzzzzt! You fail. Godwin’s law invoked. Start over, rethink your boring life and come back when you have something truly interesting, never mind original, to say.

    @ Gordon:

    “The rule does not make any statement whether any particular reference or comparison to Hitler or the Nazis might be appropriate. . .”

    You’ve done nothing to address the argument, Gordon. Grow up and re-think your ability to argue logically.

    Bitter much? Take a breath and join in the rest of the world taking steps forward.

    Bitter? No Sorely disappointed in an American electorate that does three things:

    1) Still believe in Santa Claus. Which is fine, up to a point. Tends to be counterproductive in voting for public servants. And

    2) Attempts to dismiss fundamental truths with cavalier ad hominem arguments and brainless platitude. (For example: “Take a breath and join the rest of the world taking steps forward.” The FIRST thing you have to do, chump, is learn how to walk. I suspect you and the rest of the 52% need to work on that.

    3). Despite following the most unpopular presidency in history, despite being able to outspend his opponent well over 5-1, despite his known acquaintance with terrorists and no real public record to speak of, President Hope/Change and his lovely speaking voice is somehow perceived to have a “liberal mandate.”

    Not based in reality, but the MSM will have its day and force feed yet more of this swill down the throat of a blindly adoring and basically uneducated public.

    special moment thats for sure.
    at least us whites cant be called racists anymore
    Thats good.
    But why would any one vote for a guy without a legal birth certificate or one that pal’ed around with Bill Ayres..How wonderful
    Obama what a great guy…NOT!!!
    But the Toyota driving white liberals and the eager to get something blacks voted for him.
    Now just sit back and wait for the world to take a large shit…OH Boy
