There are still 25 thousand ballots in the WA-8th LD race to count and the Benton County Auditor hasn’t posted up results since 8pm last night. WHAT ARE THEY HIDING!!! I think Bobby Gagner should have a press conference. Yes, that is exactly what she should do right now and tell us why!!! You know they are behind closed doors right now. Doing something. What’s she building in there? I’ll bet it’s not a playhouse for the children…

Hmmm…this data shows they updated at 4:36 p.m. on 11/5 (about 6 minutes late…EGADS!) and that they’d do an update again at 4:30 on 11/6. http://vote.wa.gov/Elections/WEI/VoterTurnout.aspx?ElectionID=26
And it shows now they have 20,000 ballots outstanding or about 23% of registered voters. From the same page it shows the state average is 19%. Not horribly different.
Remember that now that we’ve switched to vote-by-mail and ballots aren’t due election day, but must be mailed election day…..if you want to have quicker results you either are going to have to pay more taxes so they can staff up, change when the ballots are due, or tweak some other part of the system. Don’t assume she’s slow…she’s probably being thorough…which takes time.

Larry wins! I couldn’t give it to Gordon since he knows too much. But I loved the line “I heard he used to have a consulting business somewhere in Indonesia”. So sinister!
