Infinix Mobile has launched its new smartphone in the Kenyan market, the Infinix Hot 8. The smartphone is available in two variants, HOT 8 and HOT lite.
The phone is the successor to the Infinix Hot 7, which launched in Kenya in March 2019. The phone was launched globally in early September and was made available in Kenya for pre-order in September 2019.
Both phones, the HOT 8 and the HOT 8 lite, are available at INFINIX stores nationwide and online at XPark (formerly known as infinixmall) for a retail price of Ksh. 10,999 and Ksh. 9,999 respectively. Additionally, a 32 + 3 variant of HOT 8 will be sold exclusively on Jumia Kenya from November 6 for Ksh. 11 899.
The phone comes with Android 9 Pie operating system, MT6761 (Hot 8) and MT6580 (Hot 8 Lite) processors, 32 GB of internal storage + 3 GB of RAM for the Hot 8 and 32 GB of storage internal + 2 GB of RAM for the Hot 8 Lite. It also comes with a triple camera setup: 13MP + 2MP depth sensor + dedicated low light sensor, phase detection autofocus and LED flash.
The phone has a 6.6 inch HD + teardrop display and 5000mAh battery. The battery can apparently last 4 days with light use. It also comes with 2A fast charging technology. The phone comes with colors such as: midnight black, champagne gold and aqua blue.
